Mevrouw Sardeman, mevrouw Otter en meneer Koopmans vertellen over het leven in Meppel. Er is een grote Joodse gemeenschap. Maar in 1942 worden alle in Meppel achtergebleven Joden in één keer opgepakt. Een gedeelte van hen loopt door de Stationstraat naar het station. Daar wacht de trein naar kamp Westerbork.
