Wandeling door het Leuvenumse Bos, punt 6
Langs de beek stond vroeger de Zandmolen die tussen 1692 en 1865 als papiermolen in gebruik was. Direct achter het hek achter de picknickplaats staan twee eiken langs de beek. Op deze eiken groeien Eikvarens en in het najaar de Biefstukzwam. Bij de tweede beek die even verderop loopt vind je een mooi voorbeeld van het Beuken-Eikenbos met direct langs de beek: Gewone salomonszegel, Dalkruid, Lelietje-van-dalen, Wijfjesvaren, Eikvaren, Muursla en Bosanemoon.
Loop daarna weer terug naar het fietspad en sla rechtsaf; loop verder met beek aan rechterhand; eerste fietspad linksaf (bij paddenstoel 20243).
