U komt hier bij een sloot. Die is in de jaren 60 gegraven om overtollig water af te voeren van het vakantiepark. Bij hevige regen kwamen de huisjes onder water te staan.
Even verderop staat links van het pad de mooiste en grootste beuk van Ginkelduin. De beuk heeft een dunne bast en lange afhangende takken die de bast goed beschermen tegen de zon.
