The petting zoo is open 6 days per week and is free. It brings the dutch country side living in to the city. The main building has been modelled after sheepfolds and farmhouses. The roof is covered with moss herbs. In the school garden stands a chestnut tree planted in 2011 and carries the name "tree of hope". It is a seedling from Anne Franks backyard tree. The Anne Frank tree was felled by a storm, as a tribute, the chestnuts were collected and every city district received a germinated seedling.
